When a new magazine enters the market, people say it is the publication that everyone expected. When we talk about Latinos USA Today, we assure you that this is a magazine not everyone was expecting.

This new project has been truly sui generis from the moment of its birth, engaging community leaders, activists, academics, government officials, businessmen, professionals, students, artists and more.

Thanks to the commitment and dedication of our growing family of partners, we proudly present the first edition of Latinos USA Today, the only monthly bilingual and bicultural magazine in the United States.

Our mission is to inspire, empower, improve, educate, engage, entertain, and support the Latino community in New Mexico. We believe the best way to achieve this, is to work together with our communities.

So, we invite you to join this extraordinary project, by reporting what is happening in your neighborhood, your school, your business, and your organization. We want you to help us build this magazine every month, and become a fundamental part of this venture. This is the best way to participate in the decision-making process, and ultimately, motivate change.

Moreover, in this first edition we have compiled a compendium of articles related to education, written by experts in the field. Education is one of the greatest concerns to Hispanics, both in coverage and quality. Not only because the future of our nation depends on providing our children with complete educations, but because it greatly affects the present moment of our families.

This publication also offers local and updated information about health, community, business, environment, cooking, literature, women, and much more. We are confident that both our audience and advertisers will find this publication a valuable resource, and an excellent way to promote the objectives of your organization.

Latinos USA Today is a bilingual magazine made by Latinos for Latinos. And that definitely is a hallmark that distinguishes us from the competition; we know our community better than anyone because we are an integral part of it. We understand the dreams, struggles, hopes and aspirations of our community.

We are firmly committed to the Latino community in United States, and for that reason we are donating one percent of our earnings from advertising to local organizations that support our community.

We invite you to peruse the magazine and subscribe NOW! to Latinos USA Today. You will find a free calendar listing local events, and get more than $2,000 in savings with your coupon book.

Finally, we want to thank each of our contributors for their tireless efforts, talent, and dedication.

Latinos USA Today seeks to preserve freedom of action, progressiveness to new ideas, rigor in evaluating the content, and its cooperative nature. These principles involve an organizational structure that not only allows, but encourages replacing its members. Similarly, these principles imply an entirely voluntary collaboration, and democracy in decision-making. You are an integral part of this project and thanks to you, that dream becomes a reality today.
